Amory – Andrew Thomas Fox, 21, passed away unexpectedly from complications of Type 1 diabetes on Sunday, November 22, 2015, at his residence in Oxford. Born on July 28, 1994, in Amory, he was the son of Andrew Fox, Jr., and Kathy Greer Fox.
Andrew was a graduate of Amory High School, Class of 2012, where he was a member of the Golf team and was a member of the Amory Panther Band. While in high school, he was also a member of the Northeast Honor Band. Andrew attended ICC where he was a member of the ICC Band. He was a Psychology major at the University of Mississippi. Andrew played the trumpet in the Ole Miss Band – The Pride of the South. Most recently, he had worked at Wren Body Works. A member of First Presbyterian Church, Andrew was active in the church youth group. Very protective of his sister, Andrew loved his family, friends, and his church family. Very humble, loyal and fun-loving, he gave his all to everything he did. An active young man, Andrew was an excellent golfer and enjoyed Ole Miss football, playing, boating with his friends, and listening to different kinds of music. All who met him loved him. Andrew will be dearly missed yet will live on in our hearts forever.
Survivors include his parents, Andrew and Kathy Fox, and sister, Staci Suzanne Fox, of Amory; grandparents, Thomas Greer (Paulette), Nesbit, and Dr. and Mrs. Andrew Fox, Sr., Oxford; and the love of Andrew’s life, Sarah Barrett, Saltillo; uncles and aunts, Terry and Margie Allen, Brian and Myra Fox, and Tommy Greer (Karen); cousins, Britt, Annie, Natalie, Nathaniel, Hannah, Cameron, Madison; many great-uncles and great-aunts.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Clara Greer.
His Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory, with Dr. Tom Cheatham officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cody Young, Nathaniel Allen, Cameron Fox, Cody Renfro, Tommy Greer, Brian Fox, Terry Allen, and Austin Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be The Ole Miss Band – The Pride of the South.
Visitation will be from 6 – 9 PM, Tuesday, at the funeral home.
