Sulligent- Allie M. Williams, 80, died Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the Northwest Medical Center in Winfield AL. Born April 7, 1932 she was a daughter of the late Gabe and Sarah Brown Silas.
Mrs. Williams was raised and attended school in Smithville, and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was a seamstress for area garment plants, retiring from Townhouse/Penthouse Furniture. A lady of faith, Mrs. Williams loved her family dearly, and enjoyed visiting with her friend, Shirley Millican. She also cherished time spent with her grandchildren. She enjoyed gospel and country music, especially George Jones, crocheting, flower gardening, and working word puzzles.
She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Hudnall (Bill), Sulligent; son, Joey Williams, Tupelo; grandchildren, Shane Williams (Sandy), and Halle Hudnall; great grandchildren, Aiden Matthew Williams, Andrew Shackelford, and Alex Minchew.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Mattie Hathcock, Claudia Jones, Velcie Cavendar, and Emogene Simmons; her brother, G.C. Silas.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, March 3, 2013 at E.E. Pickle Funeral in Amory, with Bro. Mike Tucker and Bro. B.J. Mills officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lance and Shane Murray, Rick Kimble, Jonathan Jones, Michael Stevens, Brian McCollum, Travis Hathcock, and Brandon Moffett. Honorary pallbearers will be Hilbert Hathcock, Danny Lovelady, Billy Jones, Mack Simmons, and Brent Sutton.
Visitation will be Sunday from 12 PM until service time at 2 PM, at the funeral Home.
