Allen Stegall

Peppertown – Allen Z. Stegall, 84, died on Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Golden Living Center, Ripley. Born on September 22, 1927, in Itawamba County, he was a son of the late Henry Booker and Dimples Goddard Stegall.
Mr. Stegall attended Itawamba County Schools. On September 27, 1961, he married Betty Jane Trimm. For 30 years, he worked with Fischer Body in Willow Springs, IL. After retiring, they returned to Peppertown in 1983. Mr. Stegall was a member of Peppertown Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, and Country music.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4 PM, Monday at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Coy Hill officiating. Burial will be in Jones Chapel Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be SSgt William Michael Reeves, US Army and CW2 John Stegall, US Army.
Visitation will be from 2:30 – 3:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Betty Jean Stegall, Peppertown; daughter, Rachel Ann Stegall, Peppertown; step-son, Terry Brock (Jeri), Amory; sister, Ann Moore, Fulton; brothers, Wayne and Gaines Stegall, Fulton; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-son, Johnny Brock; and a brother, Henry Stegall.
