Nettleton/Hatley – Alexis “Lexie” Alexandria Hawkins, 25, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. She was born on January 31, 1999, in Tupelo, MS.

Alexis grew up in Monroe County and graduated from Hatley High School. A brilliant young woman, she was mechanically minded and applied her talents to obtain a great career, as an Auto Tech at Metro Ford Dealership in Tupelo, MS. She enjoyed the challenge of her job and the many friendships she made there throughout the past couple years.

Alexis was a fun, big hearted young woman who was all about family. She had a contagious laugh and could brighten just about anyone’s day. She married Stephanie Hawkins and they were best friends who leaned on each other in hard times.

In her downtime, she enjoyed reading and writing poetry. She was also a whiz at putting 3-D Lego units together, creating some impressive pieces. Alexis liked to listen to Taylor Swift as well as just about any other type of music. Some of her close friends were McKenzie Garcia, Nicole Strawbridge, and Jennifer Teer and through the years they made some great memories together. Above all she loved her family so much and she adored the children in her extended family.

Such a kind, loving, young woman, Alexis will be missed so much by all that knew and loved her. They all appreciate all the kindness shown to them during this hard time. Alexis, you will never be forgotten and the memories made with you will be cherished forever.

She is survived by her wife, Stephanie Rowell Hawkins, Nettleton; her father, Chris Hawkins (Amanda), Amory; her three sisters, Rachel Hawkins, Belden, McKenzie Garcia, Amory, and Gracie Seymore (Ricky), Nettleton; her three brothers, Chris Dumas (Amber), Aberdeen, Jacob Hawkins, Amory, and Gauge Gracia (Kylie), Nettleton; grandparents, Dale and Debbie Hawkins, Aberdeen; a special Aunt, Karla Antonelli (Ralph), Columbus; Uncle, John A.
