Amory – Alene Carter Allred, 75, died on Saturday, July 31 at NMMC. A native of Quincy, she was a daughter of the late Frank & Ozema Jane Dunn Carter. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Mrs. Allred’s Bible and family were precious to her. She had worked at MS Valley Net Co., Memphis, before becoming a homemaker. Mrs. Allred enjoyed all types of music, traveling and crafts. She is survived by a daughter, Dianne “Ann” Tibbett, Amory; sister, Catherine White and brother, Johnny Carter, both of Georgia; grandchildren, Bonnie Buchanan, Tracy Shanklin, Matthew Irvin, and Joseph, Stevie and Sheree Allred; 7 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son, Gary Steve Allred; sisters, Edith Allred and Elizabeth Kitchen; and brothers, Harold “Bubba” and Billy Carter. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM, Tuesday at the funeral home with Bro. Bubba Kennedy and Bro. Mike Todd officiating. Burial will follow in Hatley Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randal, Paul, and Terry Allred, Jason Jenkins, Trey Edgil and Matthew Irvin. Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob and Richard Allred. Memories may be shared with the family at
