Albert 'Ray' Smith

Albert ‘Ray’ Smith, 87, of Tupelo, MS passed away peacefully on March 30, 2023. Ray was born on April 19, 1935 in Tupelo to the late Albert J. Smith and Elmer L. Deaton.

Ray is survived by his brother, Mitch Witcher (Barbara); nieces Debra Foley (Howard), Miller Douglas (Paul); nephews Daren Foley, John Foley (Julie), John Strother, Jr., (Alyson), brother-in-law, John Haas Strother; and several great nieces and nephews.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Libby Smith Faulkner, Mary Helen Smith Strother; nephew Brett Alan Foley.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2023, in the afternoon from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the funeral home in Amory, MS. Burial in Priceville Cemetery, Tupelo, MS.
