Becker- Agustin Ayala Baltazar, 65, died Friday, April 5, 2013 at his residence in Becker. Born July 14, 1947 in Ario De Rosales, Mexico, he was a son of the late Agustin Ayala, Sr. and Maria Baltazar.
Growing up in Mexico, Agustin moved to the US in 1986, and married Betty Griggs. He retired from the Amory Cotton Oil Mill, and was Catholic. He loved his parents very much and enjoyed traveling back to Mexico to visit with them. Agustin enjoyed working in his garden, being with his dog, and was very proud of his work ethic and the fact that he owned his own place.
He is survived by his wife of almost 25 years, Betty Ayala; step daughters, Beverly Griggs and Denice Morgan (Jimmy), all of Amory; son, Aurelio Ayala, Mexico City, Mexico; sisters, Maria Cardena, Edinburg, TX, Rosa Ayala, CA, Yvette Ayala, IL, Glodia Ayala, Mexico; brothers, Constaino Cuevas (Sue), Becker, Miguel Baltazar, Aturo Ayala, both of Ario De Rosales, Mexico, and Abryan Ayala, Mexico City, Mexico; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 3 brothers, Rafael Ayala, Florenso Ayala, and Chungy Ayala.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 AM, Monday, April 8, at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home in Amory with Sister Lael Niblick and Bro. Bobby Ivey officiating. Burial will follow in Greenbrier Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Reggie Morris, Chris Kemp, Joey Bennett, Heath Bennett, and Roman Cuevas.
Visitation will be from 5 -8 PM at the funeral home Sunday evening.
