Smithville – Addie Mae Clark Weaver, 92, died on Sunday, January 22, 2012, at Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center. Born on January 8, 1920, she was a daughter of the late William David and Myra Staten Clark.
Mrs. Weaver attended Wren High School. A loving mother who took care of her home, she was a homemaker. Strong in her faith, Mrs. Weaver was a very dedicated member of Smithville United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Weaver enjoyed being with family, talking on the telephone with her friends, listening to the radio, watching Gospel Channel 39, and listening to Gospel music and church hymns.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 PM, Tuesday, January 24 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home with Bro. Sammy Washburn and Bro. Charles Coggins officiating. Burial will follow in Haughton Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jim Weaver, Paul Witt, Hastin Witt, Henley Witt, Sidney Weaver, and Kenny Weaver. Honorary pallbearer will be J. D. Weaver
Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Monday at the funeral home.
She is survived by her daughter, Dale W. Guins, Canton; son, Carl David Weaver (Joan), Oakland, TN; grandchildren, James Edward Weaver (Donna) and Ava Marie Witt (Paul); great-grandchildren, Chandler, Hastin, and Henley Witt; and James David “J. D.” Weaver; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Lilla Suggs, Becky Weaver, and Mary Anne Carlisle.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arna Weaver; sister, Vera Childers Crimm; and brothers, Leroy, Allen, and Murff Clark.
