Born in Shannon on March 20, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Jack Lindsey & Mattie Lou Williams Harris.A wonderful and loving lady, Mrs. Harris was adored by her children. She was a charter and active member of South Nettleton Baptist Church. After twenty-five years of service, Mrs. Harris retired as a seamstress from Amory Garment. She cherished the time spent with her family, loved being a grandmother to all because she loved every small child that she met, and enjoyed cooking.She is survived by her daughters, Betty (Billy) Palmer and Elaine (Tim) Knight, Smithville; sons, Eddie (Dorothy) Harris, Sr., Cedar Bluff and Jeff (Sharon) Harris, Jr., West Point; sister, Jeanette Franklin, Okolona; grandchildren, Eddie Harris, Jr., West Point, Jonathan Harris, Minden, LA, Jason Harris, Tupelo, Brent, Bradley and Byron Harris, all of Caledonia, and Keri and Kelly Palmer, and Brittany Knight, all of Smithville; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special friends and caregivers, Madalyn and Jesse Minor, Amory; In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jeff Harris; son, Bobby Harris; and several brothers and sisters.A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory with Bro. Charles Coggins and Bro. Byron Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters.Visitation will be from 9 AM until the service hour on Wednesday.Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at eepicklefuneralhome.com.
