Byhalia – Adelle Bobitt Malone, 87, died at her residence on Saturday October 16, 2010. A native of Fayette Alabama, she had lived in Caledonia, Nettleton, Columbus and in 1989 moved to Byhalia. She married Johnnie C Malone in 1945, who passed away August 9, 1980.
Mrs. Malone was a retired seamstress working at Wilson Manufacturing and Futorian in Okolona. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and attended Emory Independent Methodist Church. She enjoyed making quilts , crocheting and cooking.
She is survived by her son, Mike Malone of Byhalia; 2 grandchildren, Josh Malone and Stephanie Elkins; 2 great-grandchildren, Abegail Malone and Merideth Elkins. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband and son, Johnnie Malone.
A Celebration of the Life of Adelle Bobitt Malone will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday at the funeral home with Bro. Leon Burton and Bro. Billy McBunch officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Monday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Billy McBunch, Morris Williams and friends and family.
Memorials may be given to a charity of choice.
