Nettleton – Albert Allen Edwards, 65, died on Monday, September 27, 2010, at Gilmore Memorial RMC. Born on August 23, 1945, he was a son of the late Noah & Clara Fredrick Edwards.
Allen worked as a heavy equipment operator for Monroe County for sixteen years. He had lived in Smithville and the Parham Community before moving to Nettleton. Having an outgoing personality, Allen loved his grandchildren and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Hester, Nettleton; daughter, Brandi (Marty) Kennedy, Okolona; son, Randle Edwards, Amory; sisters, Kathryn Reich, Amory and Jewel (Melvin) Harris, Tupelo; grandchildren, Katie Gail, Mylie Grace and Samuel Ware Kennedy; Isabella Dawn Marie Edwards; Kayla, Ashley and Danielle Hughes; Shawn and Sammantha Stafford; Jessica Brown and Brett Hester.
A funeral service for Allen Edwards will be held at 11 AM, Thursday at the funeral home with Bro. Tommy Whaley officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tommy, Mitchell and Nathan Whitaker, Larry Sloan, Pat Walls and Buddy Edwards.
Visitation will be from 5 – 8 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home.
