Hamilton – Randy W. “Raz” Duncan, 51, passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2016, at University Medical Center, Jackson. Born on July 21, 1964, in Aberdeen, he was a son of Billy Jack Duncan and Brenda Earline Raden Rasberry.
Randy attended Aberdeen High School and he made a profession of his Christian Faith at Prairie Baptist Church. He was baptized at Aberdeen First Baptist Church. As he worked, he became a Master Mechanic and formerly worked with Tommy Dahlem. He also achieved his HVAC certification and could fix anything. Despite becoming disabled after an accident at work, Randy was an adventurous and courageous person. He continued to work with his hands and tinker with cars. He loved collecting things and going to the river. He was very independent and private while he walked to his own beat. Randy enjoyed listening to a variety of music. He liked Classic Rock, Country Music artists such as Alan Jackson, Hank Williams Jr., and George Strait. He also listened to WAFM, the Blues and Jazz music. He cherished and loved his family, especially his mother and step father. Randy could always be found helping others in need or just hanging out with his friends. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
He is survived by his sisters, Tammy Duncan Brown, Grenada, Lori Jo Terrel, Louisiana; brothers, Mike Raden, Hamilton, Frankie Rasberry (Sherry), Hamilton; half-brothers Darrell Duncan and Ronald Duncan; step-father, Joe Rasberry, Hamilton; nieces and nephews, Cory Duncan, Ashley Spruill, Jennifer Spruill, Michael Spruill, and Callie Peters.
He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Jack Duncan; mother, Brenda Raden Rasberry; sister, Julie Ann Spruill; half brothers, Billy Duncan and Johnny Duncan.
His Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM, Monday, May 16, 2016, at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory with Bro. Robert Earl Fowlkes officiating.
Visitation will be from 12 - 1:50 PM, Monday at the funeral home.
