Linda Pickle

Amory – Linda Parham Pickle, 75, passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at North Mississippi Medical Center, Tupelo. Born on January 20, 1943, in Monroe County, MS, she was a daughter of the late Columbus Chap and “Mary” Roebuck Parham.

Linda graduated from the Hatley High School with the Class of 1961. On August 5, 1960, she married her high school sweetheart, Lester Pickle. Together they were blessed by God with 3 daughters and they were married 55 years. In the beginning of her career, she worked from 1961 until 1973 at Kramco in the accounting department. Later she worked at True Temper from 1973 until retirement in 2008.

She was a longtime member of Christian Chapel Church of Christ in Hatley and she cherished spending time with her church family. Linda loved the Lord and her faith always guided her life. She was an active member of the Lady Bugs of Christian Chapel and the We Care Group. Linda was a selfless servant and she was always doing things for other people. A compassionate and giving woman, Linda was a true Proverbs 31 lady.

Linda was proud of her daughters and their wonderful families. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. During the Christmas and other holidays, she loved to have family gatherings. She loved to cook big meals, Christmas candy, as well as coconut and red velvet cakes. She would spoil her grandchildren by making them Mississippi Mud Cakes and chocolate chip pound cake. Always giving, either through selfless deeds or cooking, Linda was a special woman. Some of her closest friends were her sisters and brothers, cousins, nieces and nephews. All who knew her will cherish the precious memories she left behind. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
