– Jacob Carter, 18, died on Sunday, April 17, 2011, at North MS Medical Center, Tupelo. Born on June 13, 1992, in Amory, he was a son of Jerome and Myra Guyton Carter.Jacob attended school at Becker, Smithville and Hatley until becoming a home-schooled student, graduating in 2010. His aspirations were to go to paramedic school and to attend the Fire Academy. He attended Calvary Baptist Church. Serving as a volunteer fireman with the Becker-Athens Fire Department was very important to him. Having a big heart, he was passionate about helping others. Always happy, smiling and possessing a great sense of humor, Jacob enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, working on vehicles, spending time with his close friends and nieces and nephews, and listening to Country music. He is survived by his parents, Jerome and Myra Carter, Becker; fiancée and love of his life, Andrea “Pooh” Miller, Mooreville; sister, Miranda (Casey) Cayson, Becker; brothers, Jonathan (Amber) Carter and Brandon (Chasity) Guyton, Becker; grandparents, J. C. Guyton, Becker and J. B. & Mary Carter, Hamilton; aunts and uncles, P. J. & Eddie Owings, Wren; Elizabeth Guyton, Chasity Guyton and Devin Guyton, Becker; Crystal and Terry Adair, Becker; Tim and Phyllis Carter, Hamilton; Ken and Glenda Owen, Bells, TX; Phillip Carter, Jackson; and Peggy House, Hamilton; nieces and nephews, Bradley Williams, Eva Cayson, Isabella Brasher and Katie Guyton; several cousins; and special friends, Casey Cayson, Aaron Miller and Chris Banik. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Betty Guyton and great-grandparents, Eva Guyton, Carl Guyton, and Thurman and Sue Rock.A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 PM, Tuesday, April 19 at E. E. Pickle Funeral Home, Amory with Bro. Mac Phillips and Bro. David Rock officiating. Graveside services with an Honor Guard will follow in Haughton Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from members of the Honor Guard and volunteer firefighters.In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials are given to Becker-Athens Volunteer Fire Department, P. O.
