Addie Moore

Addie Bell Gray Moore

Nettleton – Addie Bell Moore, 78, became completely healed when she started her new life in Heaven on Saturday, October 14, 2023. She was born on July 6, 1945, in Carolina Community to the late Belt Gray and Lizzie Hollis Gray.

Addie grew up in the Carolina Community, with five sisters, and learned the value of family at a young age. She attended schools in Carolina Community until she married the love of her life Lonnie Lee “Junior” Moore on July 17, 1961. She was blessed by God with a daughter, a dear son-in-law, and two grandchildren. For over fifty years, Addie worked at Amory Garment where she made so many friendships through the years. She was a hard worker, provider alongside her husband, and was a great mother who always put her family first. She was dedicated and was always the one everyone could count on when they needed help. Her community was always on her mind and she loved everyone.

Addie retired from Amory Garment after 50 years only to stay busy doing other activities. She cooked for the family she loved, sewed, gardened, and made beautiful flower arrangements for others. Addie enjoyed listening to Old Gospel Hymns and just soaking in God’s beauty from her front porch. Her grandchildren were her favorite people on earth and she loved being with them. Oftentimes, Addie liked to travel out and go thrift shopping, on the constant hunt for the bargain of a lifetime. Her many friends and family call themselves blessed to have been cared for and loved by Addie. The precious moments spent with her family gave them memories to cherish for a lifetime.

She will be missed greatly by all that knew and loved her. They are comforted knowing that she is at peace.

The family would like to offer a sincere appreciation for the care and comfort given to Mrs. Addie by the Baptist Hospital Staff in Oxford as well as the staff of Gentiva Hospice.

Left behind to treasure the memories are her daughter, Phebe Sheffield (Brent), Fulton, MS; grandchildren, Ayden Moore and Alex Sheffield, Fulton, MS; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Lee “Junior” Moore and her five sisters.
